Umair Khan

Inspection Manager

Hello! I’m Umair Khan, and my role is Inspection Manager at TAS Inspections. I lead and oversee the inspection operations. I make sure that every inspection is done correctly, safely, and with high quality. Here is a simple description of my work, role, and how I help TAS Inspections.

What I Do as Inspection Manager

  1. Planning Inspections
I review all inspection requests from the Customer Coordinator (Tamseela) and decide which inspection team and supervisor will handle them. I consider the product type, location, deadlines, and resources.

  2. Setting Standards & Procedures
I make sure we follow international standards (like ISO 9001) and internal rules. These standards tell us how to inspect, how to write reports, and how to maintain quality. TAS Inspections follows high standards to ensure trust.

  3. Training & Supporting Inspectors
Our field inspectors and supervisors need to know best practices. I train them on methods, tools, safety, and compliance. I also provide guidance when they face difficult situations.

  4. Reviewing Inspection Reports
After inspections are done, I check their reports. I look for errors or missing information. If something is not clear, I ask for corrections. I ensure reports are accurate, clear, and complete before sending to clients.

  5. Quality Control Audits
Sometimes I audit past inspections: I pick random jobs and review whether procedures were followed, equipment was calibrated, and safety was maintained. This keeps our standards high.

  6. Problem Solving & Escalations
If field teams face problems — for example, access denied at a warehouse, equipment malfunction, or conflict with client staff — I step in, talk with all parties, and resolve issues.

  7. Coordinating with Management & Customers
I coordinate with upper management and clients (through Tamseela) about inspection strategy, changes, feedback, improvements, or special requests.

Why My Role is Very Important

  • Quality Assurance: I am responsible for ensuring that all inspections meet the correct standards and that customers get trustworthy results.

  • Consistency: I help ensure each inspection follows the same rules, so results are fair and reliable.

  • Support: I guide the field staff (inspectors, supervisors) so they feel confident and able to perform well.

  • Problem prevention: By auditing and controlling, I help avoid mistakes, disputes, or rework.

Skills I Use

  • Leadership — I lead inspection teams, guide them, and make key decisions.
  • Technical knowledge — I know inspection techniques, standards, and rules.
  • Attention to detail — I check reports and procedures carefully.
  • Communication — I talk with field teams, customers, and management.
  • Decision-making — I make calls when issues arise, balancing speed and quality.
